Viewing PDF files in Outlook Express
Viewing PDF files in Outlook Express
Solution
Problem:
When I send several PDF files created by Win2PDF as e-mail attachments, the recipient can't open the attachments. The recipient is using Outlook Express 6.0 with Service Pack 1, and receives the message: "OE removed access to the unsafe attachments."
Solution:
Microsoft KnowledgeBase Article Q291387 describes this problem:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;q291387
To recieve PDF files in Outlook Express, you have to disable the attachment blocking feature by following the steps below:
1. Click Options on the Outlook Express Tools menu.
2. Click the Security Tab.
3. Remove the check mark beside 'Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus.'
4. Click OK
